Welcome to the "Net Zero in Your Area" application (the "Application"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access and use of the Application, and by accessing or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

  1. Use of the Application The Application is designed to provide information on how councils rank on Net Zero in order to speed up progress, reduce complexity, and ensure that it is a critical priority. The information provided is for general informational purposes only, and we do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information provided through the Application.
  2. User Accounts You may be required to create an account to access certain features of the Application. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password, and you agree not to share your account or password with anyone else. You are also responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  3. User Content The Application may allow you to submit or upload content, including but not limited to comments, reviews, and feedback. By submitting or uploading any content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content in any media.
  4. Prohibited Conduct You agree not to use the Application for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You also agree not to engage in any activity that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Application or interfere with any other user's use of the Application. Furthermore, you agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Application or any other systems or networks connected to the Application.
  5. Intellectual Property The Application and all content and materials contained therein, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, are the property of the Application or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, modify, or distribute any content or materials from the Application without our prior written consent.
  6. Disclaimer of Warranties THE APPLICATION AND ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE APPLICATION ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APPLICATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, AND WE DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY HARM CAUSED BY THE TRANSMISSION OF VIRUSES OR OTHER MALICIOUS SOFTWARE.
  7. Limitation of Liability IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APPLICATION OR ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED THROUGH THE APPLICATION, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
  8. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the Application, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.
  9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Application is operated. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Application will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
  10. Modification of Terms We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and any such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting on the Application. Your continued use of the Application after any such modifications will constitute your acceptance of the modified Terms.
